I am currently focused on gaining as much experience as I can in different practice areas and I am enjoying the work I am presently doing in personal injury, contractual disputes, and medical malpractice litigation.
I joined Weir Bowen LLP as an articling student in 2018.
I grew up in Calgary, Alberta and Freeport, the Bahamas. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami in 2011 and I obtained my Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2018.
I began my legal career working as a summer student with the in-house legal team at AutoCanada in 2016. I returned the following summer and continued working there part-time during my final year of law school. In that role I completed work in several areas, including mergers and acquisitions, business law, employment law, advertising and privacy compliance, and civil litigation.
I really enjoy working at Weir Bowen LLP. I have found that the partners and associates at the firm are very experienced and knowledgeable in some really interesting areas of law. I consider the team approach that the firm takes to dealing with clients’ files to be highly effective. It ensures that the client receives a high level of attention and expertise and it also promotes a very positive work environment.
I decided to become a lawyer because I am creative and I like problem solving. As a lawyer, it is my hope that I will have the opportunity to put both of these skill sets to use by coming up with innovative solutions and arguments to resolve my clients’ problems. When I am not working, I like producing music, working out, traveling, reading, wakeboarding and snowboarding.
