Mr. McVey was born and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta. In 2006, he moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. He obtained his Law Degree (with Distinction) in 2012, also from the U of A.
Mr. McVey joined Weir Bowen LLP as an articling student in August 2012 due to his interest in civil litigation. Specifically, he has an interest in negotiation, mediation and trial advocacy. Mr. McVey has represented clients in claims involving medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, assaults, wrongful dismissal and debt collection.
In his spare time, Mr. McVey enjoys travelling and has been to several countries around the world including South Africa and Peru. Additionally, he enjoys playing sports including hockey, tennis and golf.
